Why we love this Natural Blanc de Meudon crushed chalk.
Blanc de Meudon or whiting is a form of crushed chalk and is various named Spain whiting, Champagne whiting, Troyes whiting and Toulouse whiting.
It is composed of Calcium Carbonate particles (CaCO3) which is the main component of chalk and lime scale.
Slightly alkaline and abrasive and it is traditionally used for housework in cream cleaners, for polishing of silverware, earthenware, ceramic hobs and plastics. It is great for mirror polishing, as well as bleaching of footwear fabrics.
Blanc de Meudon is also used in mastics with Linseed oil.
In addition to its environmental benefit, there is no implied risk during use (contrary to products of the petrochemical industry) and it is very cheap.
Blanc de Meudon can be used to create paints both water based and oil based, whitewash and decorative paints on glass
